Education:
B.S Engineering Science and Mechanics
Univ. of Tennessee, 1987
M.S Metallurgical Engineering
Univ. of Tennessee, 1990
Ph.D. Metallurgical Engineering

My areas of interest:
My interests center around processing and microstructural control of alloys to optimize
certain sets of mechanical properties. Specific interests include solidification
processing and crystal growth of high temperature alloys, intermetallics, and the
corresponding deformation and fracture behavior.
|
Range of projects I have
worked on:
Research projects that I have worked on have ranged from the heat treating of steels
for improved fracture toughness to the crystal growth of intermetallics alloys for
high temperature structural applications.
Range of companies I
have worked with:
I have worked with engine manufacturers in the diesel and aerospace industries for
various research and undergraduate senior design projects.
What I most enjoy about
working for TAP:
I enjoy the breadth of different projects encountered and the working interactions
with industry.
