My areas of interest:
My specialty areas include work analysis and design, product usability, ergonomics,
occupational safety and health, and decision support.
Range of projects I haveworked on:
I have a traditional background in Industrial Engineering, and have worked on a
wide variety of projects for many different companies and organizations. Some of
the issues we have addressed are summarized below:
- Evaluation, design, and selection of material handling equipment, operator tools,
and safety devices
- Workplace layout, job evaluation, task analysis, operations analysis, hazard analysis,
time and motion study
- Design of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and warning labels
- Development of decision support tools for troubleshooting equipment and web-based
customer support

Range of companies I have worked with:
The companies and organizations I have assisted include all major manufacturers
of automobiles in the United States, several large manufacturers and retailers of
consumer products, insurance companies and their affiliated research centers, several
major manufacturers of chemicals and affiliated trade associations such as the Chemical
Manufacturers Association (CMA), the American National Standards Institute (ANSI),
and government agencies such as the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission
(CPSC).
What I most enjoy about working for TAP:
I enjoy the opportunity to engage with industry on a wide variety of projects and
make a real impact on a company's viability in today's competitive environment.
